More baby Pictures

He's eating his toes.

I woke up to this scene. That is Chio's "twirly" umbrella in the background she must have brought in at some point in the night. I'm not sure if it was in Ryan's hand at one point or not.

Chio's Stapples

Frankly I'm shocked that Chio has not been more injured in her short lifetime; she is fearless and crazy (as long as there are no bugs involved). Anyway here is the latest disaster, I was pushing her on the swing and she fell off right onto a root in the back yard (side note: I'm the one who went in with chio and they had no idea what had happened to her because I couldn't say root correctly. Finally had to spell the word...Alex knew this would happen before I want and didn't say anything). She ended up with seven staples but no shaved head which is what she was most worried about so all in all it turned out okay. Also, her hair looked awesome for the entire week the staples were in because there were no flips allowed.

Ryan at one month

New Years 2011

When my dad came for Christmas my husband made him promise that since Alex wouldn't be there for New Years (I went to my sisters wedding and Alex couldn't get off) my dad would give Ryan some sparkling cider since Alex could not do it himself. When Alex did this to little alex, he locked himself in the bathroom because I had said absolutely not and then alex cried forever....Ryan took it a little better:)

Ryan

I'm officially vowing to do better at taking pictures of my son. By the time alex was this age I had literally thousands of pictures and in this post I have put in every picture we have of Ryan from the last month (most of them are not even good, as you can see, but they're all I have so here they stay). Well, Ryan is amazing and we all love him. I'm not sure if he's just a great baby or if pacifiers make a great difference, because frankly I'm not sure how we survived the other two without one:) (and yes, we tried a pacifier with both chio and alex and neither one would take them, with chio we bought every pacifier known to man in every size and it was still a no go). Ryan suffers sibling love whenever it's given and thinks it's the greatest thing ever. He is not a fan of tummy time and can now flip himself over whenever we stick him on his belly to escape it. He won't look at you when you are holding him, so if you want to play with him you have to put him down or get someone else to hold him. He is absolutely beautiful and his skin is soooo soft. He is just now starting to get a little patch of hair on his forehead. Bath time is tolerated, not loved. He loves to have his diaper changed. I mostly keep him in jammies. He loves to be swaddled, or I should say he'll fuss when you swaddle him for a minute or so and then fall asleep. He could probably stare at his dad indefinitely. He likes to surf the internet with his dad and likes to watch the television when it is on. His favorite toy is a stuffed caterpillar. He sucks on his hands. He burps like crazy. He's 15 lbs., 24 inches long, and his head is in the 90th percentile (I can't remember the circumference). As far as coloring goes, we think he'll be halfway between chio and alex; darker skin, blue eyes and light brown hair. He's just happy and fun.

Uncle Mark, Bobby, and alex take a nap

I can't remember the exact events that lead to this picture, so please feel free to comment if you remember. I do know that no one expected alex to fall asleep, he just snuggled in close and was out. So if you didn't know, alex definitely got that Nield trait, he is the best sleeper ever.
