Ohhhh NO!

About 3 weeks ago I discovered that I really didn't want alex to learn how to crawl until after we moved to Texas (for purely selfish reasons of course) so I stopped working with him everyday as I had been previously and I went to just occasionally putting him on his stomach and flipping him over as soon as he started to yell....I'm not really trying for any mother of the year awards. This situation worked best all around because I need more than 2 minutes to pack a box and alex likes to sit best anyways; he can keep himself happy as long as he can hear me no matter where I am in the house... because of this my neighbors are regularly treated to off tune songs with words off the top of my head (when on his stomach I have to be right there with him).
So I had been packing all morning and alex finally decided that he had enough and that it was his turn to play with mommy...so I grabbed Limo and sat down to play with him when the phone rang and I had to go and find it. Stupidly instead of giving him Limo I put it on the box next to him which turned out to be an unacceptable action because when I came back with the phone he had gotten up to the box. I have no idea how this happened as there are no handles or anything on the box to grab on to and he has not previously demonstrated this talent before. In fact when I tried to get him to stand up again he just sat down. So my plan to not have him to mobile when we move seems to have back fired and I am no longer sure what to expect.

Our vacation and Easter...

This is Grandma Karen theorizing the boy....Alex almost threatened that I could never dress alex again until it dawned on him what this would mean.

alex loved to just sit on his aunt lacey lap and relax, he would sit here for however long she would let him and just take it easy.
All of the pictures that I took of everybody else, I must have taken with Iwalani's camera because they aren't on my camera...if you could would you send them to me?

This is our car arrangement. alex liked it better when one of us sat in the back and there was more room in the back seat any ways so we liked to sit back there with him because we could still talk to eachother. F.Y.I.: When we were driving alex was buckled in and Alex was looking at the road. alex just liked to stand up and look around like this when we were stopped...better view of his handsome daddy.

We look so tried and sweaty in this picture because this is actually taken after we had already climbed up and came back down...needless to say we are in top shape.

At the bottom of the arch.

Climbing up...
My boys looking at the view.
That is the end of the vacation pictures and now this is Easter.

His Easter suit from Grandma Karen.

This is the picture of daddy finding the best toy to give to the baby...

Here is the best toy being eaten and then a close up. I don't know if they were meant to be taken from Grandmas house or not but Alex loves it and sometimes he let the baby touch it...jk he always gets the baby to play with it because he thinks that in the future the baby will remember how much fun it was and want to play with a bigger one all the time.

And last the basket with all the fun stuff (don't mid the boxes we're trying to pack).
We had such a great time in New Mexico, thanks for letting us stay and giving us such great food. We love you so much and miss you already.

The casino and the temple...

This is kind of hard to see but this is the great and spacious building across the river. This is the casino (right in the middle)which is built on the holy land of the reservation (as most casinos are) and it is huge. We are about 12 miles from the casino and it is still the only thing that you can perfectly distinguish on the horizon. On the opposite side of the spectrum, my sister just when to the temple, which is just past the casino and you still can't see it because the full size temple is small compared to the casino, and all this week she keeps going back to the temple and taking whoever will go with her. One day I went with her and my mom while Alex stated home to watch the baby with my other sister. So while I was in there I was thinking about my family and the baby and this caused my milk to let down...white is not a good color for this to happen in. I haven't had any problem with this for about a month so I wasn't taking any kind of precautions, my mistake. So this happened before we even started the session and so the whole time I was thinking about the...situation instead of the things that I needed to think about....oh well at least I have a perfect righteous husband to cover for me.

We also went to the park to look for eggs today and here are some pictures of it.

Bath time....

For any of you who have taken a shower in our house, you know that it is no place for a baby to take a shower; because if he did he would come out with a hole right in the middle of him. We have a very strong shower head and it doesn't hit any higher then my shoulder so I haven't given the baby any showers even though I have wanted to. So now Alex and I are staying at my parents house so I wanted to have alex take a shower with me. There was one thing that I didn't foresee, however, which caused somewhat of a problem... his lunch. He is obviously a guy because even though I had just fed him a lot and he wasn't hungry, he saw some food in front of him and wanted it...and a wet, slippery, soapy baby who wants something is hard to keep a hold of.

Burlington Coat Factory........

Alex and I don't have a telivision and surprizingly the conversations that we miss out on the most are the ones that are about comericials. In this case Alex was more up on the times than I was. The first time that I ever went to Burlington Coat Facory was with Ciria a year or so ago. I was amazed that there was all kinds of stuff there so when I got home I said to Alex..." Did you know that Burlington Coat Facotry was more then just coats?"
He laughed which inspired me to say " No, I'm serious, there are all kinds of stuff there."
He said that he thought that I was just joking and that he had thought that I was funny before he found out that I was just an idiot.
Yes, "Burlington Coat Factory is more then great coats".

Sleeping is wonderful...

I went in to get dinner started and left my boys to entertain themselves in the bedroom. After about five minutes I stopped hearing the usual yelling and laughing so I went in to check to see what was going on. Alex was fast asleep and the baby was happily playing with the newspapers I had left on the bed when I was packing. About five minutes after that I stopped hearing the newspaper so I went in to check again and they were both fast asleep. Aren't they so cute?
