Sorry it has taken me so long to write...

Today we had an adventure. I have let my house get pretty bad while I was on vacation and then while we had company because I wanted to spend time with them rather then cleaning, and the last couple of days alex and I have just been hanging out because we were tired. Today, however, we have been cleaning and doing other chores that we have neglected including gluing together an old bed- which is where the story lies (I wish that I would have taken pictures, but I didn't think of that until after I had already cleaned up). On days like today alex gets into more trouble because I can't keep a close eye on him and get everything done- and he is a very helpful baby. After we finished cleaning the bathroom we started to fix the bed. So, I am gluing four three-foot boards with three pegs on the end of each board on to a board with corresponding holes (basically, it looks like I am making a big "E" with an extra leg). This is hard because the legs keep falling over and I have to keep them all sticking up straight so they'll glue in right. When alex comes over and starts hammering and and trying to stand up on this contraption that doesn't offer any support I say "alex, can you just sit right there until I finish this?" To my utter amazement he sits right down, puts his hands in his lap and watches me for the five minutes it takes me to finish. Then I stand up and he falls over; I think that he is trying to crawl with his hands in his mouth again but when I look closer I see that his hand is on his diaper. When I pick him up I discover that his hand is glued to the crotch of his diaper and me holding him under the arms and his free weight hanging isn't enough to unglue it, it's just hurting him. They aren't lying when they say "sets fast & bonds strong" I take that diaper off and put a new one on. This is alexs favorite part; he loves it when he can hold on to things without having to use his fingers so he is waving the diaper around and wiggling his fingers and laughing like this is the funniest game we have ever played. I finally got the diaper off with the sink and lots of warm water....and now I have to go and clean the bathroom again.

We had a wonderful vacation but are glad to be home. The only thing that we wish we could have changed was not being able to see our cousins- sorry we didn't get a hold of you sooner Ciria. We are glad that you were able to get home safe after your adventure, on our next trip I promise that we will be in Utah for more than one day.

These are some pictures of my sisters Birthday we had while we were on vacation. alex got his own piece of twenty dollar cake.

Here is the birthday girl cheering him on. She is now 19 and absolutely perfect. We had so much fun being around you and we were so glad that you took the time out of your busy schedule to visit with us. I think that alex misses giving you kisses before bed!

I think that these before and after picture are so cute.

Even though I look completely ridiculous in this picture I thought that alex and his toothy grin were too good to pass up.

Some more pictures.

We went and had some din din at Cathys house.

Watching us play.

Red was helping alex learn how to not hit his head on the table.

Then they sat down and discussed some important stuff.

We played with tigger, and had lots of fun.

And told Brendon some secrets.

Uncle Devin.

They posed for me really nicely.

We watched the turtle eat some worms. He would attack them and then rip them apart. and swollow them.

Trish.

Trish in action.

Here is G-Grandma No Ho, Cathy, alex, lacy, me, Grandma. We came to watch Trish play Soccer.

Your boy.

I don't know what you think that this look is, but I thought that you would like to see it. I thought that it was pretty funny.

They were very interested in the game.

Red found a really good place to watch the game. We went swimming that night, but I had lost the camera.

This is the new T-shirt that goes down so far.

talking to you on the phone. That is the little ball that he stuck in his mouth to give you a really good kiss.

Watching TV.

Ciria-

Ciria, I don't have your number or anything here but I wanted you to know that I was going to stay a little longer on Saturday so that alex can see his cousins? Will that work with your schedule?

The dog.

whenever alex goes to "pet" the dog she covers up her nose for protection. I have never seen her do this before and it is extremely funny to watch. Now she is starting to get up and just leave but then that doesn't work too well either because alex just follows her. alex even tried to crawl out the doggy door. I'm trying not to keep him away from the dog that much so that he will learn to like them like you do, the problem is that I feel sorry for the dog.

This hasn't been corected, and I wrote it fast.

My dad went and bought a new keyboard and a new mouse both of which don't have cordes and I was just thinking about how if we had those at our house the would probably get lost. Anyways I have a space bar so now I can write again. You have to check my dads blog for the movie that I made.

Aunt Teda was giving me kisses and I finally smiled for the camera.

We helped grandpa do some yard work. (the untrained eye may have thought that we were following ants around and trying to eat them.)

The trampoline was pretty fun, but alex though that the most fun part was the springs. He would get his head down really close to the tramp and watch the leaves underneath move around he thought that it was cool, too.

Playing with Gracie, and Nan and grandpa.

little dog kisses.

It rained so much that there were floods and the roads washed out. Cathy and Devin spent about 2 hours to go on a 40 minute drive because they had to close a road down.

Chantel read to alex and they played with his cups. I think that adults like these partiular toys more than little kids though. Chantel thought that she was so good because she could beat alex in knocking the blocks down, what an acomplishment.

Grandpa read to us from his mission book. The leather on the outsied he tooled when he was 19. They were mostly punny jokes.

They came to visit us when it was raining.

Here is where he eats while he is here.

He sat like this for about 2 hours and would just let people hold him while he looked around.

She's probably making this face because my dad is being disgusting.

I want you to especially notice the bowl on my dads belly. These two fell asleep while we were talking. I guess that we are really entertaining conversationalists.

This is your boy dressed up for church and if you look close you can see the pearls that my grandmother brought back for me. I don't think that I would have any jewelry if it wasn't for her. (my mother say that that in an incorrect statement so I'll revise it and say that she has helped add to my collection as well.)

Everyone at church said that they couldn't believe how much he looks like you.

Yesterday.

First we got up and played with the dog. alex kept grabbing on to her hair and wouldn't let go so we didn't torment the dog for very long.

Then we went over to see great grandma ho ho who just got home frm China. She is doing good except for her knees.

He really liked Cathy and wasn't affraid to go to her.

I though that this picture was cool and that you would appreciate it.

This picture has everybody smiling and I tried to zoom in on it but I couldn't get it to save. alex liked that table and kept walking around it but every where he went we would put our hands on the corner like Teda is doing because we were afraid that he was going to hit his little head. We had to put the chess boards that were on the table up because the boy kept trying to get them- is that what you are teaching him?

alex really liked Brendoni and they would follow eachother around. Red even missed a chess meet so that he could see the baby. alex thinks that Red is hilarios expecially when he claps.

I liked this picture because Red and alex are doing the same thing without knowing it.

Brandon was also here and alex liked to touch his hair and sit on his lap right away. I think that it is the hair cut, what do you think?

Then we went to go and take this 5 generation picture. We took it as you know because it doesn't happen very often where you have 5 generations living at once.

The last thing that we did was go rock hunting.

We found lots of different samples that the boy arranged all around himself.

And then he tasted them all. I relized when we were here just how few rocks there are in Texas, I don't think that alex has even seen one there yet. We love you and are still working on the movies.

My dad also gave the baby sour crought (don't know how to spell it and the spell check isn't working) but I didn't get a picture. He didn't really like it all that much.
