Snow Day

I may just be a crazy Texan and no longer have a concept of what good snow is, but this snow was amazing! This morning I took the kids to our friends house where we played in the snow and built a snowman. I am way out of practice because it took me almost 40 minutes to clean off the car to go, as opposed to the 5 or so in Utah. It was warm and the sun was shining bright so we didn't freeze our tushes off the minute we walked out; the snow packed into perfect snow balls almost instantly when you scooped it up, yet it wasn't so wet that you got soaked when you touched it or had every imaginable debris from the lawn rolled into your snowman. Unfortunately, I forgot the camera! (Sorry)

After alex took a nap we went out and played again. I haven't done a post like this in a while but, hello, it snowed (a lot) in Texas, so I took a ton of pictures and I want you to see them (fortunately for you I didn't put all of them up, for I took quite a few and you might have been bored).

Here is the same place where I took the picture from the previous post about four hours earlier-the sun was doing its job; I think alex may have been just as excited about the puddles produced by the snow as he was about the snow.
